This is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Thekchen Chöling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives houses thousands of precious manuscripts.

Dharamshala :-

Dharamshala is a municipal corporation city in the upper reaches of the Kangra Valley . The suburbs include McLeod Ganj, Bhagsunag, Dharamkot, Naddi, Forsyth Ganj, Kotwali Bazar , Kaccheri Adda (government offices such as the court, police, post, etc.), Dari, Ramnagar, Sidhpur, and Sidhbari (where the Karmapa is based). This place is also famous for its Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (2003), which offers opportunities to the youth of state to prepare for their future in the game. The McLeod Ganj town, lying in the upper reaches, is known worldwide for the presence of the Dalai Lama.

This is a hill-station lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar Mountains about 18 kms north-east of Kangra, in the State of Himachal Pradesh and overlooks a wide spread of plains. It is known for its scenic beauty set amidst high pine and oak trees. Dharamshala’s altitude varies between 4400 ft. and 6560 ft. Since 1960, when it became headquarters of Dalai Lama, Dharamshala has The Little Lhasa in India. Covering a wide area in the form of a twin settlement, Lower Dharamshala is a busy commercial center, while Upper Dharamshala with the suburbs of McLeod Ganj . There is also a large Tibetan community in exile, who has made this their home, living mostly in McLeod Ganj.

It’s home to colonial-era buildings, including St. Francis and St. John’s churches, which date back to the rule of the British Raj in the 1800s. A trek up Dainkund Peak leads to Pholani Devi Temple. To the north, Subhash Baoli is a peaceful area with pine trees and panoramic views.

Khajjiar :-

Khajjiar is a hill station in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. West, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary is home to animals including deer and bears. Farther west, Dalhousie is a hill station with mountain views, dotted with temples and 19th-century British churches.
